What our Team Members are saying...

"I love working with kids and I love it when they "get the message" that we are relaying to them.  I know they "get it" when I hear their answers to my questions, watch them act out their ideas on the right way to handle situations, encourage and help each other make good decisions, and when I hear their precious prayer requests. Our God is an awesome God and He is at work in the lives of these kids!" ~Kim, 2nd grade

"The kids are full of love for Jesus and share this with me through prayers, song, and scripture.  They encourage me with their insightful application of the lessons.  I look forward to their hugs and enthusiasm!" ~Linda, 1st grade

"I enjoy hearing about their ideas and how they try and put their faith in action. They have some pretty funny stories to tell.  They way they express themselves is priceless.  I love to see their sweetness come through as they interact with me.  At this stage in life, they are brutally honest and that is refreshing.  I like to see them blossom throughout the year.  They come in scared and unsure of what to expect and leave having connected and feeling safe and confident in class." ~Cindy, 2nd grade

"What I love best about teaching Sunday school is that the kids become MINE, and I treasure that time I get to spend with them each week as we learn about Jesus together. I LOVE worshipping Him in song with them, when they truly understand the lesson, and their joy and excitement as they affirm their love for Jesus. I am humbled by their prayers, their honesty, and their pure, simple faith. Teaching kids is the best experience ever... I'm a lifer!!!" ~Gina, Kindergarten

"It's exciting to see kids grow in their own personal relationship with the Lord.  It's amazing to be able to teach God's children and watch how He can reach a whole family and others through that one child." ~Kim, 5th and 6th grade

"My daughter Ryan and I initially started teaching together while she was in High School partially because she was planning to pursue a teaching career and this would allow us to work together to help her gain experience. A lot of the closeness of our relationship is directly related to our mutual involvement in this activity. While she changed from teaching school as a career, the success that she has attained in her career path has been directly impacted by her years as a Sunday School teacher and both of our walks in the Lord have been greatly enriched." Jim, 4th grade

"What I enjoy most about serving the kids is that I get to share the word of God with them and get to spend time with then and get to know them." Brittany, 2nd grade assistant

"I really enjoy their enthusiasm for learning the bible stories.  And I love hearing all of their prayer  requests because you realize how much God is truly is their little lives and that them really do find comfort in our Lord." Bonnie, 1st grade

"I have been blessed to have teachers here at MVCC impact all three of my children for Christ…and I knew I needed to give back. There is not one Sunday that I have taught that I didn’t go home a better Mom and Wife because of the joy “my” four-year olds gave to me on Sunday morning. I have gotten to know some great parents who have become my friends as a result of having their kids in my class.  It’s a great way to “plug in” to MVCC! You want an accountability partner in Christ?  Teach four-year olds!!" Kristi, 4 year olds

"There is so much joy in making God real to the kids.  God has given us a mission to build them a foundation to stand on or fall back on when the world gets tough.  Plus there is always something new to learn from the mouths and hearts of babes." ~Ryan, 3rd grade

"I love it when I make a personal connection with a child and his/her family, when we go beyond the superficial level and they invite me into their lives." ~Molly, 3rd grade
